In difficult times, gratitude is a positive way to develop self-care routines. Thanksgiving is all about re-aligning with what we are thankful for. In this one hour, inclusive class, students will learn basic technique, play along to preferred songs, play musical games, and identify what they are grateful for and ways to express that musically with our drums.
Students will:
Learn basic drumline warm-up(s)
Learn foundational percussion technique and rhythm reading
Engage in musical games with their peers
Play arranged drum beat(s) with their peers
Identify things they are grateful for and express on the drums
November 21st at 2pm Mountain Time for 1 hour
The total cost is $20.
A bucket drum is optional and not required. Students may drum on anything at home that could work as a drum (i.e. a kitchen bowl, a pillow, etc.) Drum sticks are highly recommended, but again things at home can act as substitutes (i.e. wooden kitchen spoons, paint sticks, etc.)
