Happy Small Business Saturday! As a small business, I would to highlight a few different groups of small businesses, including Denver businesses, music therapy owned businesses, and continuing education/learning businesses for music therapists! Let’s start with some local Denver businesses that promote disability entrepreneurship and employment!
Denver Small Businesses
Dirt Coffee trains, employs, and empowers neurodivergent individuals at their coffee chop in Historic Downtown Littleton. If you can visit, get yourself a cup of coffee at their cute and beautiful store front. They also have an online store of merchandise that could be purchased to support them.
SpecialTTeas is a disability owned business in Colorado that makes tea! Check out the SpecialTTeas’s Etsy store here to support and find some tea themed holiday ideas this season.
The Autism Community Store is one of my favorite places in Denver. Located in Aurora, the Autism Community Store not only provides almost any product you can imagine for Autistic individuals and their families to purchase but also connects the community. I have had the pleasure of doing music groups at the Autism Community Store this year as well as participate in their resource fair for families and their Trunk or Treat this last October. Support their cause or find something for an Autistic loved one here!
Music Therapy Sticker Businesses
Looking for music therapy stickers? Synergy Music Therapy & Wellness Services has music therapy themed stickers in their store as well as book and journal resources. Check out their store here!
Succulent Stickers is a small business owned by a music therapist with music therapy themed stickers as well as a lot of pet themed products too! Check our their store here! I loved the custom pet ornament I bought last year.
Continuing Education/Learning Music Therapy Businesses
(Also all music therapist owned!)
The Music Therapy Podcast Collective sells pod-courses, which are courses where you receive a workbook and listen to podcast for continuing education credits! A perfect gift for music therapists this holiday season.
Looking for other continuing education opportunities? Music for Kiddos has several high quality courses available for continuing education credit. Check out their store here!
Looking for ebooks this holday season? Music Therapy E-books has several online books available for purchase and is also music therapist owned.
Last but not least is a store filled with song and intervention ideas for music therapists! Dynamic Lynks’s online store has several songs ready to go for music therapists!
